Try blue start ointment, Put it one before you go to bed. It is really good stuff and I use it everyday for skin issues.

Could it be wind burn or excessive dry skin? My skin always get more dry in the winter. You may want to try moisturizers. Cetophyl, I believe that's how you spell it, is great. You can get it at WalMart. It is a little pricey though, but well worth it. Also, have you tried hydrocortizone cream for the itching? It's over the counter and works great!!
Good luck!!!!

Me too! It's only been for the last few years and it drives me nuts! I went to see my doctor, and apparently I'm stuck with it. It's because I have sensitive skin and the dry heat of central heating contrasting with the cold weather is what sets it off. I bought a humidifier for my house and that does help a lot. As for lotions and potions, I use a gentle moisturiser from Clarins and then E45 when it gets really itchy. Roll on summer...

winter makes our skin dry. dry skin makes you itch. itching makes your skin sore and brings up rash. So what do you do? get moisture back. How? apply moisturiser to skin, drink plenty of fluids, take Vitamins A C & E supplements, turn the heating down at home and/or you could buy an air humidifier. cheers...

wrap scarf around neck and face when going out and when in put small bowl of water under heaters to put moisture back into the air. Finally moisturise with special winter moisturisers 3/4 times a day, also make sure bedding regularly cleaned and mattress hoovered, dust mites etc could be biting you
