I read the whole Bible. I understood the definition of each word in it.

Reading the Holy Bible is one thing. Understanding it is another. We are to understand the Bible with our hearts and not our minds. Only the Holy Spirit can give us understanding in our hearts. The more understanding we received from the Holy Spirit the more we feel that there are more to know. God is revealing new revelations of His word all the time. We are encouraged to know not just the truth but the present truth. Those who do not flow with God who is always on the move will be left behind. God says my people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge (Hos 4:6).

I can say I read it every day, however a lot of the Scripture has meaning that I discover every day.
Any one, even scholars of Biblical History do not understand the whole book.
I have seen many Atheists out here who claim to have read the whole book and understand what they THINK they know.
Simply put it is imppossible to understand the Bible without the Holy Spirit influence.
There will be some who claim to uinderstand it and deny it, but really have no clue as to it's teachings and inspirations.

Lots of people have read and understood the bible.

But which version are you talking about. The original scholars don't even agree on the translation of the bible, so unless your talking about the original text what people read and understand is a interpretation of the original text and interpretation always leads to misunderstandings.

So the best we can hope for is reading and maybe a glimmer of understanding of what the original authors meant.

Aside from scholars, I think it's a safe assumption to say NO.

What do you mean by the "complete Holy Bible"? Do you mean the Apocrypha as well?

Can you really claim to "understand" everything in the Bible?

The answer to this question is only Jesus. As we grow in Christ the Bible opens up more information to us. There is noone here on this earth that can grasp the full understanding of Gods word. We will know all the answers when we meet him in his Holy place.

For me, not without study aids and other additional resources.

The Nelson's Quick Reference Bible Dictionary is fantastic to have by the way.

A Bible with a concordance is a must, or you'll never get far in understanding.

There will always be room for deeper understanding into Gods word.I can tell you this though Gods word is like a picture puzzle, the more pieces you put(by studying the word) into it, the clearer the picture becomes.

All I can say is I have read it many times, and will probably read it many more, and each time I find something I missed or gain better understanding of something that was cloudy at first.

Understanding is personal. What may mean one thing to one person may be interpreted differently by someone else.
But yes; I have read it from cover to cover many times.
