It's a name of a city where the treaty was signed. The countries that signed are part of the Schengen treaty which means you get 1 visa and you can travel to all of them on that visa.

Schengen is a small town in Luxemburg, where a European treaty on free travel was finalized.
The so-called "Schengen-agreement" provides for passport-free travel between the signatory states, which include Norway and Switzerland, but not Ireland and the UK.
