Surprisingly enough, chip shop chips are marginally more healthy than McDonald's fries (even if they are fried in lard, which isn't very common these days) as thinner chips are more susceptible to absorbing oil.

However, steak cut oven chips are best for you, even if they don't taste authentic. Better yet, my boyfriend's mum makes chips from potatoes (they might have been boiled for a while first), brushes them lightly with oil, and cooks them in the oven! Delicious, healthier than fried, and taste right! :)

which would be counted on what else you're eating in the process the week. it is not right down to guy or woman nutrition and stuff, in case you decide on 2000 energy an afternoon then you definately're okay to consume oven chips in case you haven't any longer eaten many fatty ingredients that day or something like that. Oven chips are surely only potato even with each and every thing, lot's of carbs and slightly fat...

I'm not really a chip fan unless they are incredibly good chips. Home cooked fat ones are often under cooked and horrible. Home cooked thin ones are often over cooked and too crunchy to get on your fork. The best ones are usually from a Chinese take-away, for some reason. Must be the cooking oil or something.
