You def weren't wrong for asking for ur money back, this girl obivisoly is rude and totally out of line. First of all you do not put ur stuff in some one else's cart and makes the person pay for it, that is just total disrespect. You should get your money back and if she has a problem well then tough luck. You should talk to someone in your family about this problem, bring it out to everyone's attention. The sooner the better. You should not be taken advantage of like that. I say screw her!!!!!!!!!!

you're in a touchy situation. if i was you, i would go to her boyfriend since it didn't work when you asked her for the money. tell him this, "i paid for some stuff your gf bought the other day, the thing is she might not have enough to pay me, i wouldn't ask if i wasn't going to use the money immediately..."
See what he says and take it from there. I know its difficult when it comes to family but sometime you got to have your stand. If he cares about you as a family, then he wouldn't say much.. he'll just pay you :)
Good luck!

No you are not wrong to ask for your money back. There is a golden rule....never lend money to friends as it often causes conflict! I would always lend to my best friend but not other friends because I've often heard the excuses 'sorry i haven't got it' or 'oops I forgot' which often leads to me never seeing the money again. I often think 'Ok I'm not gonna lower myself to beg for my money back but I'll never lend it to you again' and I dont...even if I have hundreds and they only want a fiver.....it's not being mean, its ur money do what you like with it. Just never go shopping with her again!

You've been had.
Explain what happened to your cousin. Maybe he will repay you. Otherwise, you've learned an important lesson. Just be sure not to repeat the same mistake twice.

No, you weren't wrong, she was. A tough lesson to learn, but she isn't your friend; she's only using you. Time to find a new friends, and consider the incident as a lesson learned.

Never lend friends money and if you do don't expect to get it back. Money and friends don't mix.
