if the relationship is long enough (say 6 mos or more) and the guy isnt ready to meet you, should you continue or find a new one?

Does he mean I love you as a friend? Or romantically?Sure, it would be wise if you'd ask him if you are a couple now just so that there is no misunderstanding between you two. Just because he's not ready to meet you doesn't mean he doesn't love you. He may just be scared you two won't hit it off the same way as on-line. Then, again he may have something to hide.

I wouldn't consider him your boyfriend just because you exchange "I love you"s, close friends say that to each other a lot. Why should you have to ask if you can call him your boyfriend? After 6 months, if he isn't ready to meet you, then ask him why. Not to push him into it, but to see if there's a specific reason he's not comfortable, and to see if there's any way you can ease his discomfort. I wouldn't go out looking for someone new right away, though. I'd say that after a year if he still doesn't want to meet, then there's something else going on and it's time for you to move on.

Thats a hard one. If he is saying your not boyfriend girlfriend
and your not exclusive you can still go out with others
How far away are you from each other. Is there more in this relationship. Just think as well is he committed to you as you are to him. How about on another level.
Will you ever meet. thats another question and how long are you willing to commit to this type of relationship
Is this the type of relationship your ready for at the moment being just online. there are alot of what ifs that you need to ask before you allow yourself to get more involved in this
Might he be already committed and that is why he is not willing to meet?

Yes you can call him your boyfriend but if it's been over a year and he doesn't want to meet then somethings up and you need to move on. But ask him why he isn't ready to meet up yet. You don't know if he really means the I love you's either if ur not in his face. He could just be putting that just to get another chick ya know. So next time you chat with him ask him about why he doesn't wanna meet up becuase you really wanna meet him in person.

This is just a on line friend. I woulnt consider him to be a boyfriend. After talking to him for several months and he still isnt ready to meet you should be a sign that he isnt ready to be your boyfriend.

after 6 months of online crap chatting---emailing---your guy is obviously married---or in a relationship---If you haven't met after that length of time you need to start looking and reevaluating your online whatever it is!
Faceless people do non-meaningful relationships---MOVE on to the real thing in your local area!
