A memory is a piece of information stored in the brain. Memories sometimes can be stored in a way that is difficut to recollect, usually these have little meaning and cause almost no associations. But memories that make strong associations to other experiences and make links with other parts of the brain are more easily recalled and end up being stored in several areas of the brain.
