Hello I am from Iraq and am a asylum seeker to Britain.

It has come to my attention that Britain celebrates the birth of Christ on the 25th of December and I find this deeply offensive to my sensibilities

How can we remove this christian festival from the calender so I dont get offended.

Why do the British do these things to upset us?

Now I've come to the conclusion that you are:

a) a pissed-off British person who is making a mocking joke of the insane levels of the political correctness in that country, which is basically attempting to remove Christmas because of "been offensive"

OR

b) a genuine Iraqi who really feels this way.

OR

c) a genuine Iraqi who is making a joke at how PC Britain is.

========

So I'll give you three answers:

a) Yes, I know. The levels of PCness are utterly insane and soon you won't even have Christmas unless the Left-wing get kicked out of government. I'm behind you here in this joke which is quite fitting to how things are in UK (once owners of the globe)

b) I hope you get shot by a Christian, Christmas-celebrating US army officer dressed as Santa Clause.

c) Yes the levels of Political correctness are embarrasing (thanks, Lefties) but don't come to England. There are enough immigrants. Thanks

Pick whichever does it for you.

You could bury your head in the sand for the Christmas season....which currently lasts from mid-October to January or so...

Or just stop being a jackass.....you can't BAN Christmas.

It's barely a religious holiday anyway, it's all about the presents, so the toy companies own it really

We don't do these things to upset people it's more a commercial holiday now anyway with companies try to get you to buy there stuff. The santa you see around isn't a christian symbol it's Coke a Cola's famous santa. If you don't want to celebrate christmas then don't don't. It's a good occasion to buy stuff for your family and you don't have to go to church or sing carols or anything like that these days. If you're not for real then go get hit by a bus.

Britain as a whole is a multi-cultural society! We have all manner of churches and religions.

It's live and let live i am afraid - in addition to this Christmas is a British/Christian celebration and it's not intended to offend.

If you don't like the way we do things here or you are offended - the front door is Heathrow Airport - you should think yourself lucky it wan't locked on the way in!!!!

first of all let me ask you ...........what is your problem ?

the christians all over the globe celeberates christmas, the birth of christ............ if you dont like it forget it (1)

(2) You are in a christian country, and you have no respect for yourself, because you do not want to respect other person, (then what type of a person are you) a christian country gave you a place to live, food, clothing, etc and something more(banned to be used here) but still you dont respect their faith.

Three...........YOU CAN NEVER BAN THIS till the end of this earth.....
all you asylum seekers your days are numbered in heaven.

ABOVE ALL YOU ARE A FAKE...NOT REAL

Funny----------you are joking and making a funny.

But, to be serious, I REALLY feel this way. I am Jewish, and I do not believe in Jesus as Christians do, so this being the big affair of the year-----------it gets old after awhile.

But, if you really are a Muslim (doubtful), many Muslims do celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Prophet, and Christmas in a big thing for them, too. This is not only in ''the West'', but in Muslim countries, too. I know Muslims who do it.

Also, look at it as the big money-maker holiday, and strictly commercialized. So, forget the religious part of it.

If you do not want to celebrate Christmas, yet be a Christian, then, become a Christian in the Unitarian Church. They do not celebrate Easter either. For them, The New Testament is not the God's Gospel, but a Biography of Jesus Christ, which contains words said by Jesus.

Don't celebrate it Guy.
They have the right to celebrate it. You have the right not to.

No one does anything like that to upset you.
You build it up within yourself.

It is indeed a pagan holiday and should not be celebrated by true followers of Christ. But it is so instilled in tradition, most that claim Christianity don't care.

1Co 10:21 Ye cannot drink the Lord's cup, and the cup of demons: ye cannot partake of the Lord's table, and of the table of demons.
