And why do you think that those who were Holy and in their graves were raised to life, at the exact moment JESUS GAVE UP HIS Spirit???... if JESUS was just a man or a prophet?
And why do you think the Centurion and those who were with him, guarding Jesus, when they saw and felt the great Earthquake and saw all these things happen WERE TERRIFIED??? And why do you think they EXCLAIMED, SURELY HE WAS THE SON of GOD, if He was just a man, or a prophet?
Well this may be more than just one Question, but it only cost me 5 points...lol
And as a Believer I ask for your benefit, not my own.
The noon day sun was blackened/ the day turned to night...there was a great storm, a tempest.
A great Earthquake shook the land, and, though my Bible says THE CURTAIN of the TEMPLE was torn, I thought the whole Temple was split.
Maybe it is a metaphor, the CURTAIN was TORN...The people were divided???
So you think HE was just a man and all these were just made up lies?
Or are you a believer?

T.Y. James.
I am sure each interpration is a little different.
When I saw the movie, ofcourse the whole temple was split.
So yeah, Stone, curtain, temple...depends on the interpation used I suppose...

Thanks everyone, sofar...
T.y. "a believer..." this question is mainly directed at non-believers, athiest, and I guess those who do not believe, or have YET TO ACCEPT that CHRIST is and was the MESSIAH.
I suppose Muslims fit that category.
I am not trying to sit up on a pedastol and be holier than thou...
I am trying to reach people, not for me, but for GOD.
I believe Christ is the only way to the FATHER, as no matter how perfect we try to be, we all fall short of the GLORY.
And compared to GOD who is PERFECT, we are like MUD.
Oh I know HE sees us all as being perfect, He created us in His image, therefore we are all perfect.
But being in this physical, un-perfect world has a way of corrupting us.
I just want people to realize, GOD gave us HIS SON, and so by the BLOOD and GRACE of JESUS we can be, and truly are allready SAVED.
PRAISE GOD the HOLY TRINITY.
I know there will be a time when GOD will harden the hearts of many, the time is short. AMEN...

I am a believer and when the vail rent as the word says all could look into the Holy of Holies. This signifying that man would no longer have to hear from the priests but as the word says.....all shall know me from the least to the greatest. This is why we should be letting the Lord Jesus direct our paths in life ......acknowledge the Lord in all thy ways and he shall direct thy path.
Man kind today listen to what the preacher, soothsayer, lawyer,
indianchief or anybody else but to hear the word of the Lord and be found doing it is a rare happening.

Jesus was/is/will be the Lamb of GOD who takes away the sins of the world. If you are directing your questions at Muslims I have been told they believe that the whole new testament was fabricated by the apostles under the guidance of the roman government, I do love them and pray for them though.
May GOD richly bless you and keep it up! With GOD all things are possible.

I can give you a list of unfulfilled prophecies. For example if you read Genesis, Chapter No. 4, Verse No. 12, it says… ‘God told Cain: you will never be able to settle you will be a wanderer.’ Few Verses later on Genesis, Chapter No.4, Verse No.17, says…‘Cain built up a city’ – unfulfilled prophecy. If you read Jeremiah, Chapter No.36, Verse No.30, it says that…‘Jehoiachin the father of Jehoiachin… no one will be able to sit on his throne - The throne of David, no one will be able to sit after Jehoiachin.’ If you read later on, II Kings, Chapter No 24, Verse No 6, it says that… ‘Jehoiachin after he died, later on Jehoiachin sat on the throne’ - Unfulfilled prophecy. One is sufficient to prove it is not the word of God - I can give plenty. If you read Ezekiel, Chapter No 26, it says that…‘Nebuchader, he will destroyed Tyre.’ We come to know that Alexander the great, was the person who destroyed Tyre - Unfulfilled prophecy. Isaiah, Chapter No. 7, Verse No 14, says, prophesying of…‘The coming of a person who will be born to a virgin - his name shall be Emmanuel.’ They say… the Christians - it refers to Jesus Christ peace be upon him. Born to a virgin - the Hebrew word there is ‘amla’, which means not ‘a virgin’- ‘a young lady.’ The word for ‘virgin’ in Hebrew is, ‘baitula’, which is not there. Even if you agree - we are using concordance - we agree… ‘Virgin’… ‘Virgin’ - No problem. It says… ‘He will be called Immanuel.’ No where in the Bible is Jesus Christ peace be upon him, is called as Immanuel - Unfulfilled prophecy. I can give several, plenty unfulfilled prophecies - One is sufficient to prove the Bible wrong - I have given a few

God ripped the curtian at the temple to show his division with the Jewish system.
As Matthew 27:54 shows the occurances also was to show that Jesus though dead, was the Son of God.
Mat 27:54 When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, "Truly this was the Son of God!"

Right on!
Jesus was and is King of King, Lord of Lords, and Saviour for all. Interestingly, the curtain was town from top to bottom, not upward, so no-one can say it was someone in there that did it!

Assuming it even happened the way it was written. Judaism has mentioned something happening in the Temple (in the Talmud I believe) during the 1st Century but it was the lintel stone that cracked not the curtain being torn.
LOL, christians...cant live with 'em....cant shoot 'em.
