I will never really be able to understand why people follow these people! I have decided it must be because they are people who do not feel they have much self worth, people whose lives are not very happy and fulfilled, and they are desperately searching for someone to ''build them up''.
Cults reach out to people who are this way----------people who are needy in spirit and hope. I think these Evangelical Christians reach out for the same type of people. And, there are alot of them.
P.S. These are the same people who criticize Muslims---they have to feel there is someone beneath them, to give them a good feeling about themselves.

Excuse me, but I'm an American and I do not follow him. Actually, there is only a small group that FOLLOW that man. Others may have agreed with what he said about homosexuality, but that hardly means they were Following him (ie: hanging on every word he says).
So, because Haggard is a liar that means no one should speak out against wrong-doings by others?????

This the problem of Religion, outwardly you change a person, but inwardly you cannot. Only Christ can give you that. If you obey. God told us to hate SINS not the SINNERS. Sins are the products of the WORLD, the FLESH, and the DEVIL. Temptations is temptation, once you yield to it, it becomes sin. He must have probably forgot what God says "My grace is sufficient for thee"
I admire this man, because he has the nerve to tell the truth and confess that he a deceiver and a liar. A hypocrite wont. May the almighty God forgive him of his sin.

No, by prayer he's quickly. God works in mysterious techniques. I heard Ted then decrease off his male member and mailed it, as a peace offering, to Pat Robertson, who have been given a million dollars for it on eBay, from a splash previous lady in a West Texas nursing residing house for wealthy widows. What she did with it somewhat is being investigated via Barbara Bush's secret hit squad.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He never changes. People do and they are fallible - still with a sin nature. We don't follow fallible men - we follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Also Christians are not perfect - just forgiven. I pray that Ted Haggard finds forgiveness and restoration with the Lord Jesus. We should not condemn him - as we ourselves could again become ensalved by the devil - we must remain close to Jesus and God the Father - serving them and rejoicing when we choose not to sin. Blessings.

American people are not concerned with or they dont care for MORAL or CONDUCT of a person. What they are concerend is the beleif or 'eman'. Its very clear that muslims have firm and solid beleif based on holy Quran and Sunnah of GOD's messanger MUHAMMAD (pbup).
The question equaly relates to religion, morality, general cultural behaviour and human basic natural behavour.

Read the Bible. Among other thing, it's about long list of men who have messed up bad. The "heros", Aberham, Moses, David, Job, Samson, and on and on, realize they have done wrong by God, repent, and go on and do great things. The real message of the Bible is, "we mess up - God still loves us" - a lot!.

Well, first of all, he confessed his sin to be redeemed of it, and he has removed himself from a position of power. Hopefully he can get help for his homosexual problem, but noone FOLLOWED the man, they followed God's Word in the man.

born again Christians are to follow CHRIST(Who was/is perfect) not an imperfect human being.
We are not to judge since there is only ONE Judge who will judge us ALL one day.
If Ted repents and asks God for forgiveness, that's all that matters. Whether mere humans forgive him or not is of no importance regarding his Salvation.
