And I dont just mean friends and family but others as well.For example I started a new job two days ago and was asked three times by two boys and one girl.I've started jobs in the past and have been asked the same question several times.

no i'm joking - its a natural enough question to ask to get to know someone - what job they do and whether they're married or single, and where they live, its just a common question people ask all the time to get to know you.

People just generally are trying to get to know you when you start a new job. If you become friendly with people you work with you tend to tell stories about your day to day life and if you have a girlfriend she is bound to be in most of these stories! I dont think its a personal thing with you everyone gets the same reception at a new job!!

Maybe they are just trying to be friendly and start a conversation with you.
Maybe the girls want to know if you are "available".
What's the problem with them asking anyway? Judging by your annoyance I take it you haven't got one!!!!!

actually they probably think that you are so ugly that you couldn't possibly be attractive to a member of the opposite sex
next time, tell them "no, but i'm hung like a donkey"

cuz thats what people do!! its normal to be nosey, lads ask because they are either A) GAY or B) want you to go out on the pull with them and women ask because they are either being nosey or they are interested
