I really am getting the idea that you religious people don't understand the whole premise behind non-believers. the idea is this: listen at the question you just asked. you are asking that someone let jesus forgive their sins and become their friend. where is he? he is not a real person. the concept of real and fictional cannot penetrate your thinking, can it.
do you know that if the average person walks around the streets and talks to an imaginary friend, they will go to a mental hospital. but the religious see nothing wrong with their imaginary friend because his name happens to be god. do you see where I'm going with this?

Jesus said He did not come to bring peace to the earth but a sword. The preaching of the "good news" - just telling your experience to friends - will always split people into two different camps: some will listen and be attracted, most will be offended and scoff and go away.
That is what Jesus said would happen and that is exactly what happens today.
The gate that leads to life is narrow and few therebe that find it.

Here's my answer: I think people get offended when you ask exactly the same question with a slightly different wording. E.g. How did you get saved. When were you saved. How do you feel since you got saved. Do you love Jesus. Do you believe Jesus. Would Jesus lie. How did Jesus change you. How did Jesus save you. Who believes in Jesus. Why don't you believe in Jesus. Do you agree with the person who says he hates Jesus. Do you disagree with the person who says salvation is wrong. Are you saved. Do you love Jesus. Has Jesus forgiven you. Who believes in Jesus.

Because to them, Jesus has become "a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense" (Isaiah 8:14). This may be because they do not believe Jesus is the Messiah, or because they disbelieve they even need a Messiah.
Also, because people naturally delight to engage in sin, as written at John 3:
19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
Peace.

Many people, like myself, consider their deepest feelings about religion to be very personel. My deep love of God is not something I choose to hold up for examination by someone other than perhaps a very close friend or minister. Even at that, I would think it is not the other person's place to brooch the subject. Find another way to extoll your own virtues
Bottom line: MYOB

Because most of us can tell reality from fantasy. Unlike yourself.
How would you react if I told you that you should let the Easter Bunny forgive your sins and become your friend?
Same thing, they are both imaginary creatures.

Trespassing again I see. Assuming people can't think for themselves, assuming your ways are better and that you are smarter with your religion. You trespass on my freedom of thinking for myself and that is a sin . Sin will get you in hell .I do not forgive you and many other will not either. Without forgiveness you are doomed to hell. You are nothing but a sinner doomed to hell for braking God's law of not showing love to your neighbors.Yes -hell is for you and your imposing ways, hell firey hell.

Because, sadly, Christians will never take no for an answer.
What part of freedom from religious persecution do Christians not understand?
