It really could be allergies. If you need to your dog can have children's benadryl. Depending on the dog's size, break the pill in half or fourth.

You really need to take your dog to a Vet, there are different types of mange, ( caused by mites ) can be difficult to treat, so a Vet is needed to take scrapings and examine under a microscope to determine the correct treatment.

Could be a million and one things but still itches like hell, don't try to guess he'll end up looking awful and feeling worse, straight to vet, then let us know how he gets on.
He could be allergic to what your bathing him in! or just dry from too much bathing
My monies on fleas, even if you can't see them yet!

Dont diagnose him yourself, it might not be mange. Take him to a vet for a proper check.

Our dog had the mange last year and he had to have 2 shots 2 weeks apart that actually kills the mite. Very strong medicine, he had to test negative for heart worm or the shots could have killed him. he also took a pill daily for 10 days i think it was.

try changing his diet my dog has that sort of thing he was always itching and scratching and i thought it was that turns out he is allergic to wheat. Look for a dog food with no wheat and see if that helps. Arden Grange is a good one its more expensive than others but it will save you money on vets bills.

It sounds like he has allergies. Change his food to a good quality, low residue food and that should help. However, he may need to go to the vet to get some prednisone to help boost his system to help him get over it. Good Luck
