Acts 2 is the beginning of the church. There are lots of other passages that talk about it, many of which are in the Old Testament and in the gospels as prophesies.

The Book of Acts tells about the beginning of the church of the followers of Jesus Christ, who is the head of the church.
Paul then wrote different letters to different churches that had been established by the time he wrote them. These books would be Romans, 1 & 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Phillipians, Colossians, and 1 & 2 Thessalonians. John later writes what Jesus Christ (in a vision) told him to write to the seven churches in Asia Minor in the first three chapters of the Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Matt. 16:18, 18:17 Acts 15:4 1 Cor.11:8, 14:35. 2 Cor. 11:8 Eph. 5:23 1tim. 3:5 Heb. 12:23
There you go! Remmember, "the church" is made up of those who believe upon Christ and follow him. Hence... "the Body of Christ" and He is the head of the church. Church is certainly not some building we assemble at!

Yes, I can quote a Biblical passage. But the last time I did it, a religious person did not like the quote, and reported me.
