My ex of three months from summer of 2005 is still in touch with me via text message. We broke up because he just runs a mile when things get serious with a girl or so he claims. He text me last Monday asking how I was etc. I ignored the text, then last Saturday Night, he text me again, asking why I didnt reply etc. It basically came down to me telling him I have to move on and asked him why he was still in touch. He said he liked me alot and would like to be a with a woman with my personality but gets scary around women when things look serious. I want to text him this morning and say my goodbyes to him because this is really hard for me, still being in touch. He doesnt want committment but I do.

If you want different things then its never going to work so I would suggest you ignore his texts and get on with your life. You will find someone else, someone that wants the same things as you and someone that would never mess up your head so much!

Sounds like he just wants to know you're still hanging on. The "fear" sounds like an excuse to me, but if he is really scared of a relationship; the only way to conquer a fear is to face it. Until he learns that and is willing to do so, I think you're better off saying your goodbyes. Don't settle for less then your heart's desire. Best of luck!!!

i would tell him the truth you moved on with your life and say your good byes i also know you can have his messaging you blocked or your cell number changed if you desire this the sooner you get this stopped the better off you will be

you have done the right thing,,you have made it clear what you require in a relationship and have not played him in any way,,he probably does indeed miss you but if he does want you he know exactly what you want from him,or anyone for that matter. stick by your guns,,,,be worth winning.
