I got this in reply to a question about helping the homeless:
"Being saved is first with me, then I'll worry about the other."
So if you had a hungry person and a bowl of soup, would you give them the soup, or make them accept your religion first? That's rather how that one came across...

Would you help someone who needed it, even if you knew they weren't going to accept your faith? Why or why not?

Of course I would give a hungry person a bowl of soup. I have gone home to get food, a coat I was going to donate to charity, and a scarf so I could bring it to a homeless girl standing on the corner of an off-ramp with a "hungry" sign, and I'd do it again! Of course I'm Wiccan, not Christian (who your question seems geared towards), so I don't believe in converting anyone and it's therefore not a thought that would cross my mind.

Soup first. I think it would be disturbingly unChristian to withhold food for soul saving. That is not the way God meant for us to go about saving souls. The hungry person would learn more about Christian values from simply giving them the soup and telling them that God loves them than anything else you could do. If you did the other would you not essentially be using radical islamic techniques....conversion by the sword, so to speak? No offense to most Muslims who do not follow that tenet.

I would give the person the bowl of soup first. I also wouldn't try to make the person see things my way. I would hope that the person seeing my care and generosity would allow that person to see the right path, and if it didn't, I would still be glad that I helped.

I would give him the soup and bless it in the name of Jesus. Then tell him about Jesus while he is enjoying his soup. A beggar once asked me for money. I gave him $20 in the name of Jesus. He could've been an angel sent from God. We entertain angels unaware sometimes according to the bible.

Give them the soup, because it is the right and just thing to do.
All you need do is turn the table and see yourself in their shoes.
If the person had a heart, they would share.

Of course you give them the soup, for it would be pointless to try to "make" someone accept your belief system.

Give them the soup. You can't eat a Bible. He/she needs food.

The person's faith doesn't matter.
The person needs nourishment first, so that is what has to be provided.
The spiritual nourishment comes later since the soul hungers for that too!

I'd totally give them the soup. I'll respect their beliefs, and they should respect mine. We can agree to disagree
