Four of us are clubbing together to buy something and we're looking to spend about £40 but don't want to buy the birth certificate, picture frame type presents that are usually associated with christenings! Any ideas

You can buy really nice cutlery sets in silver, knife fork and spoon, or silver egg cups. Child can use these, or it can be kept as a keepsake. Try Debenhams they had some gifts in there when I last needed but that was about 18 months ago.

£40 really isn't very much ( sorry, don't mean that unkindly!) so a bit of imagination is needed. You could hit the antique markets and look for something there, a nice box, some china or small piece of silver. If you are spending £40 each there is more choice and a savings account might be welcome. A lot depends on whether you want to give something that will last. If you don't mind it being ephemeral any toy suitable for a 2 yr old would do.

£40 particularly isn't very a lot ( sorry, do no longer advise that unkindly!) so quite mind's eye is mandatory. you need to hit the previous markets and look for something there, a outstanding container, some china or small piece of silver. while you're spending £40 each and every there is greater determination and a discount rates account could be welcome. a lot relies upon on regardless of in case you prefer to supply something which will final. in case you do no longer recommendations it being ephemeral any toy suitable for a 2 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous might do.

A Smithsonian Toys Microscope that hooks up to any PC so that images can be seen on the large screen. My grandson LOVED this at two years old.

A toddler or childs Bible is great with pictures. That is a great gift. Children at that age love books.

Get a savings bond. My uncle got one for each of my kids at their baptism. You can get a $50.00 savings bond for $25.00.
