David Pradarelli

Assalam-aleikum wa rahmatullah!
I came to Islam pretty much on my own. I was born and raised Roman Catholic, but I always had a deep fascination with the spiritualities of other cultures. My Journey started when I desired to have a relationship with my creator. I wanted to find my spirituality, and not the one I was born with. I spent some time in the Catholic religious order known as the Franciscans. I had many friends and I enjoyed prayer times, but it just seemed to relaxed in its faith, and there was, in my opinion, too much arrogance and hypocrisy. When I had returned back from the order into secular living again, I once again was searching for my way to reach God (Allah). One night I was watching the news on television, and of course they were continuing their one-sided half-truth reports on Muslims (always in a negative light instead of balancing it by showing the positive side as well) with images of violence and terrorism. I decided long ago that the news media has no morals whatsoever and will trash anyone for that "juicy story", and I pretty much refused to believe anything they said. I decided to research Islam for myself and draw my own conclusions.
What I found paled all the negative images that the satanic media spewed forth. I found a religion deep in love and spiritual truth, and constant God-mindfullness. What may be fanatacism to one person may be devotion to another. I picked up a small paperback Qur'an and began devouring everything I could. It opened my eyes to the wonder and mercy of ALLAH, and I found the fascination growing every day...it was all I could think about. No other religion including Catholicism impacted me in such a powerful way...I actually found myself in God-awareness 24 hours a day 7 days a week...each time I went to my five daily prayers, I went with anticipation...finally! What I have been searching for all of my life.
I finally got enough courage to go to a mosque and profess the Shahadah before my Muslm brothers and sisters. I now am a practicing Muslim and I thank ALLAH for leading me to this place: Ashhahdu anna la ilaha ilallah wa Muhammadur rasul ALLAH! This means: "I believe in the oneness and totalness of ALLAH and that Muhammad(peace and blessings be upon him)is the chosen prophet of ALLAH." I now also accept Jesus as no longer equal with ALLAH, but sent as Muhammad was sent ...to bring all of mankind to submission to the will of ALLAH! May all of mankind find the light and truth of ALLAH.

Dear Muni,

I am a Christian, a genuinely commited one, not a nominal "only in name" Christian. I think many of the people who identify themselves as Christian do so only to say that they are no Muslim, or not Hindu or not Buddhist. It is a part of the tradition of the UK, so even if people are not actually commited Christians they call themselves "Christian" all the same. I think most of your "Christian" converts will be these people.

Muslims think that the Bible contains a lot of mistakes and bad translations. Yes, there are different translations but are you saying that Almightly God is not powerful enough to work through these? that he is limited?

The Koran was written outside time and space (Muslims believe) and dictated to Mohammed. It contains very little history. The bulk is exhortations and admonitions. The Bible contains masses of history...it is all about God's walk with his people. Furthermore it has 735 prophecies, 596 of which have been fulfilled so far. The rest mostly relate to "end times". Of all that should have been fulfilled up to now, they all have, and not one prophecy has not come to pass. In this light you cannot discredit the Bible in favour of the Koran.

Is not the Muslim faith circular? Mohammed says "the Koran is the word of God". The Koran says "Mohammed is the messenger of God". Neither of these things can prove each other when they have no independed foundation. Coming from outside time and space (as Muslims believe) the Koran has nothing that could prove whether it is genuine or not.

You say that Allah is loving, but in Islam God does not have the title "God is Love" and you cannot call him "Father". Christianity is the only religion that is based on a relationship.

I have great respect for all who have integrity and zeal in their faith, of whichever faith they are. I believe "Yahweh is God, and Jesus is his Son", so any religion which does not recognise Jesus as God is therefore inferior to Christianity. However, people are not inferior to me just because they believe differently. I hope we can all live in peace and get to know and understand each other.

God bless, Alsalam Alekom.

What a bunch of crap.

The annual number of American converts is 20,000 according the Muslim-run Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR).

Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world because Muslims and Africans have the world's highest birthrates. Consider Saudi Arabia (6), Pakistan (6), and Egypt (3.67) compared to Germany (1.3) and Italy (1.25). Iran's birthrate is only 1.7 and the president has urged families to have more children. An Arab Israeli member of the Knesset called for Muslims to have 8 children each to increase the Muslim minority in Israel!

"Based on the figures published in the 2005 CIA World Factbook, Islam is the second largest religion in the world. According to the Al Islam, and Samuel Huntington, Islam is the Fastest Growing Major Religion by percent (though not by raw numbers. Ontario Consultants on Religious Tolerance estimate that it is growing at about 2.9% annually, as opposed to 2.3% per year global population growth. Most of this growth is due to the high population growth in many Islamic countries (six out of the top-ten countries in the world with the highest birth rates are majority Muslim). The birth rates in some Muslim countries are now declining."

Grow up already. That's been a cliche for 25 years.

Just because people are converting to it daily doesn't mean that it's right. As I've said before, Islam is just following the same path as Christianity did hundreds of years ago. Wars and killing in their god's name, followed by a massive increase, primarily due to the spread of tradition and conformity through fear.

Muslims as a people really need to get their act together before we end up in the dark ages again.

Where is your question? It seems that your just touting Islam! You think that what is happening is great. It is in one way , it has to happen for the final war of the world to take place. The two great false religions must square off, Islam and the False Christians. Good Luck! God and his chosen few win in the end!

You are probably correct, but results of cencusses are showing more and more countries with fewer people claiming to have any religion at all. Some countries show fewer than 50% with a religion. Those figures show a much better chance for this world in the future.

Matthew 11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

No wonder, people are seeking religion rather than God. You cannot find rest in religion, only in God. Your sins cannot be forgiven by religion, it is only God who can forgive. Salvation canot be found in any religion, only in Jesus Christ wherein the covenant of salvation has been mandated. Todays Religion is a socio-economic and political entity.

Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." - Religion has its name, and this is what this verses is all about.

1John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. - This verse is very clear, Which means if you have religion you do not have life, only in the son of God you can find life.

1John 15:13 "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." - Can you have eternal life in Religion?

Warning from the Scriptures:

Matthew 17:15 "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."

Religion comes in sheep's clothing. Inwardly they are ravening wolves.

2John 1:9-11 "Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

This I firmly believed, I am a Believer (a 1st century Christian) not in a bureaucrat religion.

I think its part of the propagande to scare people agaist Islam. If we say that they are growing then no one will give them jobs and will isolate them from their communities. I have not seen a single person join either Islam or Christianity. People are just sick and tired of them full stop in fact people are leaving them both.
