out of the several Jehovah’s witnesses that have come to my door none of them presented to me the message of salvation which is what Jesus taught( which is to repent and turn to him)

and they rarely mention Jesusif they do at all, they normally give out Watch Towers about the troubles of the world, but they never invite me to know Christ. has anyone had a different experience

As a cult their main message is not Jesus but becoming a member of their Organization. For instance see the following quote;

Watchtower 1983 February 15 p.12 “Similarly, Jehovah is using only one organization today to accomplish his will. To receive everlasting life in the earthly Paradise we must identify that organization and serve God as part of it.”

High control religions will always put following the leaders interpretation ahead of following the Bible or Jesus, and so this is one of the signs of it being a cult. A JW that does not believe in 'current' Watchtower teachings is removed, and so deemed worthy of destruction

As a Christian, you already know this, but how well do you know the teachings of Christ and God? Do you place as much importance on knowing the little details as the big ones, or do you think the little details are unimportant, such as the first prophecy of the Bible. Very few Christians know where it is, let alone quote it, though it is one of the most important prophecies regarding Christ. JWs learn the Bible as a whole and not the sum total of its parts. They read it as a whole, more than once, and with their kids, who are not separated from the parents to just learn Bible Stories. By the time a child reaches 12, they not only can quote the first prophecy, but tell you why it is important.

What does all this have to do with salvation? Do you believe you are saved based on accurate knowledge of the Bible, or simply because someone says you are? The Apostle Paul said to continually taking in "accurate knowledge of God and Christ". Do you think that as one of the apostles, he was wrong? He also said that he was disappointed in many of the early Christians, feeling that he had worked for nothing, because they had returned to the observances, rituals, and holidays of men. Are you following a religion that he would have been proud of, or disappointed in?

The magazines that JWs give you all point to Jehovah and Jesus for our salvation. Rev 7:10. We always use John 17:3 which points to the Father and his Son to gain everlasting life. I have used scriptures like John 3:16, John 14:1 & Acts 16:31. Have you read the magazines that they JWs you? Try asking for books like "What does the Bible really teach?" & the Greatest Man who ever lived and many more. These talk about Jesus a lot. I don't think you've received the Watchtowers and Awake magazines in which the main cover all points to Jesus. You can ask that too next time. Thanks.

Nope - most of them are just going through the steps..... it's sad, but they think they can earn their way into heaven by handing out pamphlets....... I've read the Bible, and I still can't find that in there anywhere!

A few years back I invited a couple of them to "Come back later, when my husband is home,....." (no way was I gonna have two strange men in the house when I'm alone)

I casually mentioned that my DH is a quite knowledgeable and would love to chat with them....... they squirmed a lot and said they'd have to check their schedules, and never came back.... We lived there several years, and never got another door knocking from them.

They are misguided and seem to believe to focus on Jesus longer than just to tell about him would be "worship" which is against their basic tenants regarding who should be worshipped. They do not allow crosses or any other religious "items" either, and don't know if it's the same as it used to be, but their children could not play on the school sports team or cheerlead because of the "worship" that would come from being at ball games. They don't say the pledge coz it's to a flag & country, and not to God. Neat to know, huh?

Well since they actually come to your door that is more than most religions do. Most people who think they have the knowledge of salvation don't want to tell me about it.
Ministers just sit in churches waiting in hope you come to them.
Probably why churches are mostly empty and Kingdom Halls are bustling places of rejoice that are growing globally.
People have lost hope with mainstream christianity that gets involved and influencing politics and rubbing shoulders with world leaders rather than doing as Jesus commanded to seperate yourselves from the world as he is no part of the world.

Oscram, it is not so much they are not allowed it is rather they personally choose not to. You should tease people who refrain from going against their conscience, it might astonish you that he didn't want to take the cake. His perfect entitlement.

Most of the critics here do not want the truth of Jehovah's people but rather keep on resenting them for spite.
But it is not them personally you hate it is Jehovah who's name they come in.

No, basically the same thing. I was told that they believe that Christ is only a prophet and not the actual Son of God.
My minister says that he would love to sit down with one and find out exactly what they Do believe in.

Unfortunately the Jehovah's Witnesses (like many other religions) have got it wrong. It actually sais in the Bible (King James- oldie but a goodie) NOT to go door to door. I think it's in Mark 10 verse 12 (but don't quote me on that). Look it up....makes good reading.

How else may we know about and compare:
- our grace us God in heaven, higher than heavens
- their awful lawful God on high, in divided heavens

The Bible mentions two parts are played:
- "your part": God is (grace) glory-fied
- "their part": God is evil (law) spoken of
One of such is called the "contrary part"
http://www.godshew.org/TheirPartYourPart.htm

They seem to be playing their part well.
Question is, are you doing y(our) part?

If not, we'll never get to the end of the shew,
where you all are saved(only) by grace(only),
the end where "you all" notably begins with "you":

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ WITH YOU ALL. AMEN.

Not me. The man seemed shocked when I was assured of salvation in the last day.
