Although this pup is very young to be away from it's mother, there may be several reasons for this. 1) Mother might have died or 2) Mother's milk had dried up anyway, or Mother become aggressive towards her own pups (which sometimes happens when the mother is exhausted). So your pup could have experienced some sort of trauma in it's young life and need lots of extra love.
Sounds like your pup is just suffering the usual separation anxiety that all pups have when they are spilt up and given to new owners. I would give your puppy lots of love and attention. Talk to it so that it gets to know your voice and let it sleep with a clock so that the ticking sound soothes it to sleep (much like the mother's heart beat). Make sure that your pup has a good sleep area (even if they sleep with you for a short while till they become more settled) with a bed of it's own, a blanket or something for it to snuggle into. Lots of pats and cuddles are good and help the pup to know that you are the one looking after it now. But also try to play with your pup, as this is how they learn. In a week or two your pup should seem a little less destressed and want to start exploring it's new home bit by bit, and before you know it they will act like they own the place.

Your pup is too young to take away from mom and his siblings; for now you can put a wind up clock in something warm and snuggly to simulate the comfort that she would be gettign from her siblings; a nice terry towel rolled tightly with the clock inside; they have the Snuggle Puppy that can be purchased which simulates the heat and heartbeat. It is really the siblings that she misses; They sleep together and snuggle with each other, it is that comfort that she is missing; she is eating food okay? fresh water? give her your support and make this transition a little easier for her. She is a baby still. Also, every pup will get worms from lactating Mom and needs to be dewormed; a vet can check the pup and start the process of deworming the pup and start on shots to protect your puppy and for her well being. You need to address her emotional stability/towel/clock and her health - the vet.
Bulldog Snuggle Puppy: This Bulldog is sure to capture your heart.
Every puppy will love the adorable Snuggle Puppy.
Comes complete with "real feel" heartbeat and two types of heat!

I won't go into a lecture about why your puppy should not have been removed from his canine family so soon ....as it has already been addressed ...I think I would call the vet and ask advice...you haven't given details here that would allow me to help determine what is wrong with puppy, like is he eating is his belly extended that is does it look swollen?...the vet will probably wish to see the puppy...and I would recommend you do take him to a vet immediately...puppy's problem could be as simple as lonely in new and scary environment...but it could be something much more serious....
Good Luck!
Blessed Be!

He shouldn't have been taken from his mom yet. He's very young. He misses his mom and his littermates. Have you taken him to the vet for his first visit yet? They'll be able to instruct you on how to handle this. Most of the time, you get puppies when they're older than 6 weeks. A lot of people say it should be 8 weeks.

Eek. I do hope you're not serious. This puppy is far too young to be away from his mom and a flea market is a dumb place to buy a dog. What more can I say. You need professional advice if this puppy is to grow up to be healthy and safe.

if your pup is five weeks, it has been taken from its mother far too soon. pups do not do well unless they stay with their mothers untill at least eight weeks. you are going to have a lot of ongoing problems with him. i wish people would research pets prior to getting them. if you had done that, then you wouldnt be in this situation. the info is easy to find, on the internet for free or at your local library for free, or just go out and buy a ten dollar book and learn!

5 weeks is REALLY young to be away from his mom already. They are usually not fully weaned yet. You need to take him to the vet ASAP. He might have an illness and he will need his shots soon.
