That depends on whether he has a "nice" smile w/pearly whites...or a "goofy" toothless smile w/bad dental hygiene....
I think I prefer a visual "pleasant disposition"...guys that just walk around smiling all the time for no reason just tend to look either cheesey or creepy! ;-)

I don't really know..
On one hand, the thing that attracts me most to a guy is his smile.
Yet, I tend to fall for guys who don't smile that much. The strong, silent type. They rarely smile and give you that cool guy image. They'll only smile if they're extremely happy like when they're with the girl they love. And I think that's what make them so special and attractive to me...

If he doesn't smile and you can't make him smile. Leave it alone. Then you can find a person that's not fony and smiles all the time.
If he does smile all the time...then he's smiling at anybody and everybody. Can you take that for the rest of your life?
