To be with someone who isn't your mate? This is what I am currently struggling with. It feels wrong to me (probably a good indicator that it is). He is a wonderful person and I love him, but my mind wanders. I could never physically cheat on him-I would end the relationship before I did that. The fact that I am even fantasizing about it scares me. Anyone else's experience would be greatly appreciated.

yeh of course when you are in a great relationship we tend to wonder if the grass could be greener. its natual for you to be feeling this way so dont worry :). Im in a relationship an ofcourse sometimes my mind strays and wonders what things may be like with others but i snap out of it and realise im with someone great who no-1 else could compare to. hope that helps.

In the past when I have been in relationships I have felt that way, and to me it spells the beginning of the end, I have not cheated but ended the relationships and moved on. However, the grass is not always greener, so weigh up the pros and cons before deciding what to do for sure. In the relationship I am in now, I could not imagine being with anyone else, there is no desire to be anywhere else and I can't stand the thought of someone else touching me.

My experiences would just trap you in monogamy. Personally I'd rather you just shot me instead of publicly humiliating me. If you have any respect at all for your man you won't entertain anymore than a fleeting though before you reject the idea violently. btw, I think my ex-wife would suggest against it too from the violators point of view. It has taken us both years to try to recover from her affair(seperately ofcourse) and neither one of us are in good shape yet.... don't think too hard. just do what's right.

I wonder all the time. My husband is the only man I have been with.

as long as you don't act on the thoughts, you're ok

it's perfectly normal. Don't stess over it. If you really have an idea of who you want go for it. Men do it all of the time.
