Does anyone know about shiite islam very well?

The word Shiite means: party

The original word was Shiiate Ali (meaning those who support Ali, a relative of the Prophet Muhammad and his son in law)

If they tell u its a different kind of Islam then theyre lying because:

Shiites came about from a political division back in the days when Prophet Muhammad had passed away. It has nothing to do with the religion.

Please understand that Islam as a religion is only one. When the Muslims talk about Shiite (pronounced shi ah by Muslims) or Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah, the Muslims are referring to difference of opinions regarding certain aspect of Islamic teaching that do not violate the Muslims believe system (known as Aqidah).

All Muslims whether he or she is Shiite or Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah, believe that there is only one absolute God.

Well here goes......... I am guessing that you are trying to find a reason that the Shiite's and Sunni's are killing each-other. (Sticking my head on the "American" chopping block.) Much of that reason can be blamed on tribal wars. BUT........much of it can be blamed on the U.S. In the 70's and 80's there was a great war between Iraq (dominated by Sunnis) and Iran (dominated by Shiites). The U.S. CIA had a covert policy under the direction of George H.W. Bush, (Sr.)
to keep economic instability in that region. This they did by supplying arms to "BOTH" sides to kill each-other with. (As the testimony of U.S. Col. Oliver North proved before a Senate investigation into the illegal arms sales to Iran.) Col. North went on national TV when he and President Ronald Reagan and G.H.W. Bush were caught in the illegal action, and told the world, "As long as they are killing each-other we win". That is when Saddam Hussein stopped being our "ally" and attacked one of our Naval Vessels in the Persian Gulf killing some of our Sailors after being betrayed by Bush (Sr.) and Reagan. North, Reagan and Bush (Sr.) were the people responsible for getting the anti-American feelings in Iraq started. Then it increased after the Persian Gulf war when we ousted Iraq from Kuwait. (Which had been a part of Iraq before the British occupation, and Hussein felt his country had a legal claim to.) The fighting between Shiites and Sunnis is not any different than two "Christian" country's going to war against each-other. For instance Italy against France, Italy against Germany, Great Britain against Germany etc. etc.
Baby Bush......... (Curious George W.) is just using American soldiers to clean up the mess his daddy made in the 70's 80's and 90's. And besides George W. quote: "Lets remember he threatened my dad". It is a personal vendetta being carried out by the Bush family against Hussein for Bush's betrayal, and in the name of "freedom". :o)

Islam suppose to be one, and i don't believe in the division of islam. there was no such a thing called sunni or shiaa during prophet Muhammad. and the Quran command us to follow the path of Abraham.
