I dont think anyone WANTS to have a long distance relationship. Life happens and gets in the way, you just have to work around it. If someone wants to be with their long distance BF or GF enough/or they love them enough, they will move to where the other person is and quit the long distance thing. Those people who have relationships over the internet or out of state "just because" are probably wasting their time. Long distance relationships wont last if there isnt commitment.

i recollect my past.. mine was a long distance r'ship too. v were ngaged for 1 and a half years, oh tht was the most wonderful time of my life.. he calls me practically everyother day.. i ddnt hav a pc so cudnt do chatting. but loads of sms's ve exchangd, it was so fun n cool. i ues 2 hav a craz 2 send him 'i miss u ' and 'i love u' cards, he receves about 20 cards a month!!! his colleagues use 2 fool him.. hahah.. v surprised eachother wth bday gifts on eachothers bday.. sweet momories.
so since u hav a pc u cud c eachothers face n chat more personally..
u cud take ideas from my experience n make ur r'ship more romantic.
now v r happily married for 3 years and hav a lovely son of 11 months..
who says long distance r'ships dont work?
love is not only sex.. its more than it, sex is the least part of it.. its sharing, caring, understanding, trusting n fullfilling..

send a video message to him/her using a camcorder this way you can take it to some of the places you go make it a weekly thing
your game doing the long distance thing but hope it all works out for you.

I've been in two long-distance realtionships. Both lasted eight months. We mostly talked in MSN, but we also called each other and sent photos and gifts. He did the sending though because my Mother doesn't like him and wouldn't let me send him anything....damn...But it doesn't matter anymore, because we broke up yesterday. :( But yeah, video works. If you don't have webcam, send him videos of yourself....

use a webcam...video conversation...
voice clips in msn is a nice option...
write a note in ur handwriting is also a good option in msn.
