Because it says so in the Bible and if he didn't care he would not offer us the gift of everlasting life. Also he gave his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ so that our sins will be forgiven. If you read your Bible you would know the answers to all these questions you ask. By the way, what makes you think God doesn't care?

Yes, because I am alive. He does care of about those that have died. I am not always happy, however, if when I am not, I have joy in my heart and the knowledge of knowing that God is always near, and he has promised he would never forsake me or leave me, he sticks closer than a brother or a friend. Yes, I exist because he has and had a plan for my life to bring him praise and glory. My faith tells me he had everything to do With it. And my life is a shining example of the miracles that God can create. Try a little Jesus, you'll be happy you did. God bless

We have this short life full of troubles after sin entered into the world from Eden.
If God destroyed it, we would have no chance for life at all.
So we exist in a sinful world that is going to end and there will be no more Satan.
The world with Jesus is without end Eph.2:7; 3:21;
We will all be saved into a new heavens and a new earth as perfect as before Eden. 1Cor,15:22.25.26; AS IN ADAM ALL DIE, EVEN SO IN CHRIST SHALL ALL BE MADE ALIVE. Heb.2:9,14,16 Jesus has the right to destroy Satan and death he gave his life and it in N.T. Heb.9:14-16; He has the right to make all things new. 2Pet.3:13; Isa.65:17; 66:1,22,23; Rev.3:12; 21:1-5 [ ALL IS MADE NEW ];

Well, GOD does care for all, the died and alive, happy and sad and exist, do you know why.? Because one should believe in his share of this life, which was already decided by GOD if one does not believe, he/she will suffer. Everything is decided carefully by GOD, but if we do not agree and say GOD does not care then GOD wil prove this to us as he (GOD) does not truely agreed or even care.
I would ask you one thing, just believe that everything is decided for you and agree for that but share your life and make your decision, but always keep yourself near to him(GOD) so you will see the results.

Why do you presume that God causes suffering and doesn`t care
this is simply not true, our we not to blame for it ourselves, God gave us all free will so we are not blind robots, we have the ability to know right from wrong, we have been given a moral sense and reason, all this from God so that we cannot cry foul every time and pass the buck.
we have one world and are one family and yet we allow so much evil to go on and then expect God to clean up the mess, don`t forget with the gift of life comes great responsibility, and sherking that responsibility is no excuse.

Romans 5:
8. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Because of what Jesus did on the cross those who have died can live in heaven and those who suffer can have peace if the come to him in Faith

His eye is on the sparrow, he knows when one of those little birds fall. How much more then would he care about you?
The Bible also says "the very hairs of our head are numbered"--I would say He cares very much.
He is no respecter of persons, and He looks on the heart, so all the things you mentioned don't factor into God's care.

Because you're alive?
Its written
Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
so he doesn't care about the ones that died?
It is written
Ecc 12:6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.
Ecc 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
1Th 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
Mar 12:27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
Because you're happy? what about the ones that suffer?
It is written
1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Jam 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
Jam 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Jam 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Because you exist? What makes you think he has anything to do with it?
Again it is written
2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
Eze 18:3 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel.
Eze 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Eze 18:5 But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right,
Eze 18:6 And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour's wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman,
Eze 18:7 And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment;
Eze 18:8 He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man,
Eze 18:9 Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord GOD.

with the aid of fact He created us out of His photograph and out of love and whilst devil and Adam and Eve messed issues up He rapidly set in action to restoration issues even nonetheless they pick devil to lead them and has lead guy to all this suffering. God plans on an afternoon . " .And he will particularly render judgment between many peoples, and set concerns at the instant respecting powerful countries some distance away. and that they'll would desire to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. they gained't raise up sword, usa against usa, neither will they learn conflict anymore. and that they'll unquestionably sit down, each physique below his vine and below his fig tree, and there'll be no person making [them] tremble; for the very mouth of Jehovah of armies has spoken [it]."(Micah 4:3-4) . .

Well, I have a two part answer for you. Your children may suffer but you care about them. They may even die and there is a part of them in your heart forever.
And
God is your creator. If you created something or someone, just think how much you would not only care about it, but about it's future and how much it would fulfill its destiny and purpose !
