Life can be so frustrating and confusing, huh? You know that God exists. If there is a creation, then you know that there is a creator. Look to the scripture for the other part of your question. Before Jesus healed the blind man, the people asked, "Who sinned, he or his parents for him to be blinded at birth?" Jesus replied, "Neither. This was done so that God may be glorified." He then healed the man. Now, God heals some. Others are meant to deal with whatever they were given. I'm certain that your father went to Jesus still loving the Lord. God was glorified. Because it showed a man's love for Him, even through his own suffering. Maybe others benefited because of that. I'm sure that mercy and grace was shown through the people around him as they helped in one way or another.
I understand your frustration and have felt similar pains (for very different reasons) lately. I get frustrated with the idea that good things happen to bad people and vice versa, but God is Sovereign. He is in charge here, and I just need to stay faithful to His commands. I remember when Job's life was destroyed and he cried out to God. And God responded, "Where were you!?!?". Where were you when he separated the earth from the sky? Where were you when he taught the lion to roar? Where were you when he made electricity come from the sky in the middle of a thunder storm?

Dear me what a question, I feel everyone would have asked this question atleat once in their life time, ask any relegious head, he will give you a jargon of an answer which neither you or he actually understands. This is so because we conceptualise god as a personality, someone sitting far away and looking at you through some devise and trying to assess your deeds and segregating them into good and bad. There can be no god like that, there is no good and bad they all change dramatically in the fabric of time, what is good today is bad tomorrow and vice versa. If an action causes you unplesantness, pain, sorrow, remember it will be almost the same for all so don't do it. If somethings cause you happiness, elation, do it to others too, do not judge cosmic happiness as it is beyond your logic. We, all of us,depend on the nature, like the sun, plants, wind, sea, rivers mountains, insects, birds, everything without these we will also disappear, thus god is a combination of all these, the moon , the planets in our solar system anything and everything is a reflection of god as they are all necessary for us to live as we live now. Humans unlike the other creations can think, are intelligent, therefore he can be kind and also cruel, when he is kind he transforms into a true personification of God, for Eg. Mother Theresa-who lived and died for the oppressed and the under previleaged, Jesus is again a shining example and even when he died he prayed for those who wronged him, his love for the humanity, the entire universe was exceedingly high. Did you know he said "The kingdom of God lies in the hearts of men." Take heart my dear, try to go on doing good things and helping the needy, don't look over your head and behind your back for god to come and reward you, the happiness of those you have helped should be a reward in itself.

If you read the Bible you would find the answers. Everyone dies! It seems like only the good ones die young, but it is because God has chosen them. If your father was a minister then he believed in God. How does the thought of him in Heaven living everlasting life sound to you? How would you like to be there with him someday? Think about these things before you deny God. Also, God has a plan for all the bad in the world, and the reason some don't have enough money, food, etc. is because of the absence of God in their lives. If you read back in the Old Testament when God provided for the Israelites because of their faith and prayers. Anyway, I hope you find the answer you are looking for. God Bless

Because were not a bunch of robots that God commands with his remote control thats why.
We have our own free will, our own time of death, our destiny and so on.
God is Most Wise and Infinite in His Wisdom. You must understand, that when bad things happen to good people, we cannot say that they happened as a form of punishment.
What has your father done to deserve such a death? What has anyone done to deserve even worse deaths? Life is not a series of events that happen on a deserve-non deserve basis. Life is us taking our human, feeble, existence and admitting to the fact that we, are never powerful. We, are not eternal in our physical bodies, and we do not hold the world in our hands (contrary to what some politicians may think).
Dont let the devil put such questions in your head dear. Listen to your heart and you will know, some things happen and you shouldnt be asking why, you should be asking: what can I do to make it better.

well first i feel sorry for your dad!
i'm not much of an expert here, but be happy that you dad is in better place and in better hands (inshallah/ with allah's help). And for the other guys they have got some bad judgement awaiting them.
as for the first half, the logic is. There should be good and bad, if you only have good you won't be able to identify it, cause u have bad u can differentiate what good is and what isn't!
well if everyone is rich, no one would like to do the hard work, ploughing/digging/etc you need someone to do the dirty work! and it ain't gonna be me! so u should have some equality
just try to have the big pic and we r just a small parrt of it!

Your questions are long so I hope you can handle my longish answers.
Its nice that even though you've grown up in a religious home, you are still questioning these things. Its important to question and not just have blind faith. Its possible to know that God exists in a few ways. One is that God will actually reveal himself (in small ways and big ways) to one who is humble enough to accept that he might exist and who wants to therefore know him. Its also possible to consider the complexity and organisation of this universe, and know its been designed. Even the human body is an incredible piece of work, with all kinds of thinsg that can't just be evolutionary 'mutations' etc. Theres no way that even over billions of years the types of organsims that exist could be here by shere fluke. There are other ways to know God exists but no space to go into them here. Its important not to try to understand God just with your mind. Or with your mind at all. Use your intelligence and heart.
as for why he lets us suffer, let it be known that he doesnt let us suffer 'forever' as some people would have you belive. The suffering is actually good for us in the same way that, let's say for example you put your hand in a fire... if it didnt hurt your hand would burn off. The pain exists to let you know there is something wrong (hand is burning). Similarly the pain of this world - the burns, the broken hearts, loneliness, pain of disease and death and losing what we love is to teach us, to let us know something is wrong. What is wrong? We are away from God. We are getting attached to things which are temporary. We don't know how perfect and eternal Gods love is for us. We have forgotten the highest pleasure of actually loving him back. We are in this material world, trying to enjoy ourselves and its not our home. We are not secure here - we are like fish out of water. We should come to love God and go home to him, if not in this life but in the next. One of the hardest things for people brought up Christian, as i was, is to understand why the good suffer and the bad don't (Actually this is not true. The rapist, the molesteror is defintely suffering he has no love in his life at all. that is the worst thing) But the turth is that there is life after death and its not always in heaven, and there is such a things as karma (as you sow so shall you reap). A lot of things happen to us that we don't seem to deserve. In fact we are paying for things we have done in previous lives... the good and the bad things that happen are a result of good and bad karma. When we act for Gods pleasure, according to his will, and its IS possible to know what His will is, we don't get any karma. When you sincererly feel you want to know God your faith will grow and you will feel mroe and more his precense in your life. its not an imaginary thing. God is not a mystery, and the way he has got this place wired actually makes perfect sense. We are free to be here if we choose but we can always come back home too.

Although you were brought up in a Christian home, you obviously are not born again my friend. If you were, you would have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and you would KNOW for SURE, that there truly is a God :-)
People suffer because 1) there is sin in this world 2) there is Satan in this world who has come to kill and destroy. There will never be enough food and money in this world because most people do not acknowledge God. He says in the Bible that if we were to humble ourselves and pray, He would heal our land. But we dont, and so it goes on...
My friend, I am so sorry to hear of your dad dying. The truth is, we all have to die sometime and it was God's will that he be taken then, for whatever reason. And the difficult part is not KNOWING God's will. Thats where faith comes in - faith to know that God is in control and if you love Him, He will work your life out for good. Can you not see that you and those your dad left behind are the ones to suffer, but were you to ask him if he wanted to come back, he would probably say no - he is rejoicing! Be happy for him!
All the answers you seek are in the Bible - for instance, God says that those who hurt children are going to suffer one day.
My friend, go and seek Him with all your heart and all your soul and He will be found by you.
Blessings and love,

The low life needs more time to repent. Your Dad's future is secure. My first husband and son were killed in a car wreck. You and I can take comfort in this: "The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart, and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil[to come. He shall enter into peace. They shall rest in their beds... " I'm glad I know that God loves them even more than I do, He misses them, too, and He will raise them up when He comes.

We don't know that there is any god or gods.
My condolences on the loss of your father. He obviously raised an intelligent and loving child, so his life was meaningful -- you need to remember that.
