Friend its not always the case. There are some shallow people who feel looks is the only important thing and than there are the others who feel if the character is good than nothing else matters.

If some people just want to have fun than they will prefer to go out will the person who has good looks but if the person wants to finally settle down have a good life at that time the person will only look for some one of good character. Its the tendancy of a lot of people.

But its not always the case.

Tell me something....when u go out to get a chocolate, wud u u not prefer something that suits ur eye or rather is pleasant to the eye. Human beings have a unique quality of not being happy with anything that does not please the eye. But then, human nature also vastly differs from eye to eye.

I am a guy n I will try to explain. When I saw my girlfriend for the first time, I only saw her....I did not know who she was, where she came from n where she worked. I knew nothing. I just SAW her. But, there was something that remained etched in my soul. She is no doubt beautiful (to my eyes definitely) but what struck me more was the persona of the gal. She had a edge over the others and it showed.

When we met through common friends it was the first time I spoke to her. Things progressed smoothly and today I cannot be without her.

U will agree that I had only her good looks in mind initially, but just plain gud looks don't work out. She has plainly got a fantastic attitude to match up with it. She's confident n yet so modest. She can make me - a self-confessed introvert giggle for hours together. She weaves magic around me and I am transported elsewhere.

Maybe gud looks are okay for dates n one-night stands, but for something more lasting, it is the right attitude, a profound personality and strong character of soul that matters.

Luckily for me, I got a mix of both. But surely there are many other guys who might think like me. So be positive and stay alive. Looks always assume secondary importance to the right attitude (at least for a small population of men like me!!!). Take care.

No one 'prefers' good looks compared to a good character. But at the same time, take into consideration the fact that you cant exactly 'see' a person's personality the first time around.

You'd also be lying to yourself if you said that you wouldnt want to have an attractive partner. However, with that being said, with all the divorces going around nowadays, i think its safe to say that in the end character shines through.
