Anyone own one of these, and or have any opinions or advice in regards to the American Derringer M1 and the .45 colt cartridge?

Which one? A derringer, an M1, a Colt .45, or a .410 shotgun?

The .45 Colt cartridge is an antiquated round when compared to the power of more modern rounds. Muzzle velocity is no more than about 900fps max, and is usually around 850 fps, or lower.The onlty thing the .45 Colt has going for it is, its diameter size and bullet weight.

I have their double barrel derringer, top is 410 and bottom is 45 long colt. As an absolute last ditch wep it is fine, but when on duty I also carry a Walther PPK for backup.
