they dont....because sunnis dont take the shia hadiths....but its really strange.....that when shia and sunni compromise,, the shia try to persuade sunnies from their books (EG: muslim and Bukhari).....yet they are still stubborn. and dont want to beleive shias...ans how the sunnis try to interpret according to how they want it....they dont intrepret the whole thing.

As for Hadith ( narrations and situations happened by prophet Muhammad), I do not think they have completely the same hadith, the reason is simply because hadith is being narrated by normal people from different ages and didfferent countries so it is kind of hard to always authenticate it .
Other than this, they have the same everything of course.
The same Quraan, the same direction (Qebla) that they concentrate on while performing the prayers, the same believe and understanding of God being the one and lonely creator (no son , no holy spirit, or any of these puzzles...), the difference between them is a pure political issue, the Shiits believe that Aly (one of the prophet companions) should have been a succesor to him while Sunni believe it must have been Abu Bakr, so unlike Christians and their different sects the difference is not in the creed or the believe.

There's no theological conflict..if there is any conflict, it is based on politics. A proper question would what is theological difference between Sunnis and Shiits. In Short: They both are Muslim. However, Shiites put focus on the family line of Prophet Muhammad and have Popacy like religius system - beside of course believing the holy Quran. Sunnis only believe in the Sunnah (The way of life and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad) and the holy Qur'an. They don't have religious leaders like Pop. You can compare Shiites to Catholics and Sunnis to Protestants of Chrisianity.

Both sects come to the SAME HOLLY BOOK, the Qur'an. Remember, you CAN'T CALL the Sunni and Shiite two branches, in ISLAM there is ONLY ONE ISLAM, no other branches, regardless what the media feeds you.
And yes they have the SAME HADITHS.

Shias undermine certain hadiths, because many of them were written by Sunnis (caliphs, followers of the caliphs).

black man there are as many branches of islam as christianity Just as christians all use the one bible. men will interprit the word of God differently and get different followers but to say shiat and sunny are not different branches of islam is rediculas. as for the hadith's they may be the same but are interprited differently.
