They're probably thinking 'what a prat', just like I am now... you obviously know that they are staring because that is a very heavy weight... so why do you have to ask the question on here? To prove how 'cool' and 'strong' you are??

Oh. I think you misunderstood.
They weren't looking at you. They were just trying to figure out the metal composition of the weight plates you're using. And whether the weights are lead-free.
These gym-goers are a health-conscious bunch.
