I have known this guy for awhile, and he knows I am fairly independent and have a lot on my plate. However, I would call or email him from time to time. We have started dating recently, and I don't know how to adjust my behavior. After we go out on a date, should I wait for him to make the next move, or is it ok for me to call or email? I feel like we know eachother a little too well to play games, but I still want him to feel attracted to me.

ok so you all seem to be saying don't play hard to get - yet, books like "He's Just Not That Into You' seem to say the opposite - if he likes you, he will call you. Don't call him. So now I am so confused as to what men want - of course!

There is no harm in dropping him an email just saying hi so that he is certain that you are interested. But there is nothing worse than a women who comes on too strong.Let there be a little surprise every now and again. So if you call him make it light hearted.Occassionally be un available and let him chase.

I just went through the same thing. And you know what. Let him call and make the moves. I too thought we were to mature and to cool for games. so i called and then i all of sudden he stopped calling because i would always call. It didn't turn out like i expected. His theory is the less a woman thinks you care the more she does. which unfortunately is true. So let him call and chase you. Really.

I have the sammmeee question! I think guys like a little challenge. I know I, as a woman, like it when a man isn't like the last guy I dated. I like it when he throws something new at me, something I have to adjust to or think about. Hard to get may not be the best thing to play, because some guys have a tendancy to feel like you arent interested...so maybe instead...just go with finding the thing that you know intrigues him most about you...and work it girl! I love it when a guy sets himself apart and catches my attention...im sure they would like the same! Have fun!

It's not that guys like women who play hard to get. Guys take girls for granted when the girls start calling or emailing them. They start feeling like they don't need to be the one to initiate anything.
Like someone said, if you matter to him, he will take his time to contact you and ask you out on the next date.

All women know what a man wants. It's up to the woman to decide when to give it to him. Playing games? Not for long. A man is not a toy. Play him for too long, he'll take his "balls" and go home!

Men are fairly simple creatures. If there is a complication, it's probably cause a woman was playing hard to get.

NO! Be honest about what you want to do even if you really don't know. I like real women; real about themselves even if they're not sure what they want to do for the moment, but honest about it.
