No, I don't think atheist hate christians. In fact, different ideas and different ways to see and approach a subject, whatever the subject is, do provide interesting ground for debate and growth. And don't worry, christians do get carried away at times too.

Well, Tom, for starters, evreyone loves to bash the Christians and Americans here!
You should see some of the pathetic Islamic Propagnada we see here everyday! Thank God for the fact that we also have a few levelheaded Muslims who come in and tell those jerks off because, otherwise, we'd be thinking that all of them are the same rabid, foaming at the mouth variety.
It's really getting so that we're stereotyped as "idolaters" [because we worship a dead man hanging on a cross, according to them] and "hypocrites" [this is for whatever we say, because I've a feeling they really don't know the meaning of the word]!
Lemme give you a very recent example, [though this one is not about the atheists] where answered a question about the Muslim greeting "As'salaam aleikum" which translates as "Peace and Blessings be upon you." and commented that it's something to be appreciated, not mocked, because it reflects "Respect", "Peace" and "Good Intentions".
Guess what, I got more than my usual quota of Hate e-Mail calling me a "hypocrite"!?!?
I won't be surprised if I get another "Violation Notice" for that and have my answer deleted for the usual accusation of "Insulting to Other Participants"!?
Heck, Christian and American Bashing is the "In" thing here. So, why should you Atheists not be allowed a shot, too?
At least, I'm glad to see that you don't "hate"!
Have a nice day!

I know that atheists are individual people, just like any religious person.
Sometimes it's difficult not to generalize atheists because some of the louder ones spew some real hatred towards Christians and generalize them in a shallow box.
Similarly, it's easy to generalize Christians because many of the louder ones think they are speaking for the whole crowd and set a bad rep for many of us.
But, to answer your question, some atheists hate me, some don't care about me one way or another, and some love me as a human being.

Well, the Bible tells us everything that love is. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self‑seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." (1 Corinthians 13:4-7) Anything else is not loving, and according to the Bible, the atheists I know do not love us. And in answer to your question about "the way atheists talk about Christians" I actually rejoice when I see or hear them talking that way about us, because Christ said that the word hates him, so they will hate us as well. I love my Saviour and I want to stand by him when his name is abused. I don't care what anyone else thinks of me.

First off, let me say, that's an INTERESTING name you chose for yourself, being an atheist.
In my opinion, there are several kinds of atheists:
1. There's the atheist who doesn't believe in God, doesn't want to, doesn't want to learn, and makes fun of Christians because they feel that Christians in themselves are stupid for believing.
2. There's the atheist who doesn't believe in God, and makes fun of Christians because they WANT to find their way, but they're fighting against it. Their soul is in conflict, and is troubled.
3. There's the atheist who WANTS to believe, and asks questions, but thinks that it's all faith, and they just can't bring themselves to have faith. But they won't go as far as to make fun of Christians. They just think that their questions can't be answered. Maybe, like me, they asked pastors questions that they couldn't answer except by saying that it was "all a matter of faith", and that wasn't enough for them.
What I'm saying is, the answer to your question is, depends on the atheist. If it's the first one, yes, they do hate Christians. If it's the second one, they're just not sure, but they SEEM to hate Christians. If it's the third, Christianity and Christians just puzzle them.
But I think the first kind of atheist are few and far between. I think most atheists truly belong to the second group, but there are many who are "Doubting Thomases".
Which are you?

Christians hate atheists because the Christians know the atheists are on to something.
And no, atheists are not atheists because we don't want to learn. Any atheist with a brain in his/her head will read the Bible, the Koran and anything else available. Also we read all the literature you put out in defense of creationism. Unfortunately, we think you are wrong.

You don't have to answer to anyone..... freedom of speech is yours no matter what religion you are or what you choose to believe. I am a Christian and I love you still because I know Christ would have loved you... if Christians or anyone else for that matter takes offense to what you or anyone else says they should find what it is in them selves that causes that feeling. You have a right to speak just as we do....

Just take 5 minutes and look at atheist's comments on YA and see how many don't argue actual points, but use personal insults.
Common words from atheists describing Christians on here:
Brainwashed
Moronic
Freaks
Unintellectual
etc.
I have seen very few posts that don't insult Christians.
