We all know what's on the bedspreads. We've heard the reports. I throw the bedspread off the bed and I bring my own pillow.

thats a good statement to make. maybe you should stay at my job...holiday inn express midtown in philly, pa. the housekeepers change the linen everyday. it's a new thing started this past spring. when the guests checkout, the entire bed is stripped and all fresh clean linen is replaced even the bedspreads and comforters

This type of thing came up at my wifes work place. She had some lazy employees that were not changing the sheets between guest. Those employees no longer have a job. It must be a sleezy type of hotel that you spend your nights in. Most hotels have laundries for bedspreads and the sheets are sent out and laundered. (I was wondering the same type of things.)
Hopefully you have better luck with your choice of hotel in the future.

If you worried about all the things like that you would be like "Adrian Monk". I dont sweat stuff like that. I stay in hotels all the time and have never caught anything.
If you are going to worry about stuff like that dont forget the rest:
1.All the money you and millions of others have handled
2. Rver rode a bus? I cant even count the things crawling around there.
3.Do you eat potluck dinners? Who knows what people have crawling around their houses and bring in the food that you drool all over
Point is, get over it

I sleep in hotels all the time because I travel a lot for work.

I therefore also eat in various restaurants (lord knows what goes on there!), sit in various transport vehicles etc. etc.

In a nutshell, don't worry about it too much, humans are built fairly robust. But if you see stains or it smells funny I'd opt for a different hotel.

It is going for each of the upholstery and carpeting too. i visit throw a towel over the chair and continually placed on my socks or turn flops while strolling around,

if you are not sure then when you check in and go to your room, take all the bedding off, call the front desk and tell them you have spilled something on it and you need a complete bed change.

Bring your own sheets. One blanket and a pillow and you are good.
