Not really. One party might be feeling guilty and trying not to hurt the other more, or just as likely, trying not to make an enemy unnecessarily.
Lovers can drift into becoming friends but fall out of love at the same time.

There are many reasons. It all depends on how well they knew each other before becoming intimate. The quicker you fall in love, he less you really know about a person. When the passion is gone, there is not much left to work with. If the person was a long time friend, then the qualities that brought him to the table, are qualities he still possesses. Once the relationship sizzles then fizzles, there are still qualities that are desirable as a friend. It has more to do with being able to forgive and forget.

No....my fiance' still remains friends with his past lover. The thing is that they realized that they are better off as friends than as lovers. Sometimes it is hard for us to imagine otherwise, but try and be a little more open-minded because sometimes friendship is exactly what it is.........friendship.
