Did you see the "60 Minute" special on hotels? They went to very exclusive hotels with a black light and what they found was disguisting! Bedspreads covered with semen, blood and other body fluid - even on the walls! YUCK!
I've gotten in the habit of rolling down and taking the bedspread completely off.

By state law they are required too. However, small hotels that are on a tight budget and large hotels that have a staff that is not properly monitored may not. A quick brush with the hand to remove dirt, hair or particles may be all that is done to some sheets. Bed spreads are generally changed when they have been on the bed two to four weeks or longer depending on the hotel chain and the staff...

Depends on where you stay. That's why when you check in, request to have bedspreads changed. Otherwise, make sure to turn bed down as soon as you get to your room.

In our country we do change the bedsheet especially for hotels which are three stars and above. Guests have every right to request for clean bedsheets everyday.

Not entirely true.....It depends on WHERE you're staying....If you're going to shack up at Motel 6 for a week, chances are no. If you'll be staying at The Mansion at The MGM GRAND in Las Vegas, You bet your butt that everything will be fresh. There's one small problem, in order to get a Villa at the MGM GRAND you must have a line of credit with them in EXCESS of 2 million.....(And thats the amount you have to be willing to gamble per week to keep it free.)

Never patronize establishments that have the word "crusty" or "crest" in their name, as for example once long ago the Crest Motel in Anaheim, California, now known as Mexifornia.
