Why are people treated so badly in predominately muslim countries if they convert to another faith?

If you convert from Islam at the least you are expelled from your family. Sometimes you are imprisoned and sometimes killed. Why is this done even among moderate muslims?

This is a sincere question as I know it happens regularly.

Because Muslims allow their religion too much power. The followers pay for the entire religion show in exchange for a promise of an after life. And all religions have always abused their power since day one. Islam itself is still in the 11th century. The followers don't realize it but they have the power to make their religion update itself to present times. Many religions have. this law is God's law first. he created us and he knows the heart of everybody and their destiny.

what I see, is that even with this law people trusted the prophet of God Muhammad and now we have 1.5 billion muslims in the world. and in 2026 it will become the 1st religion. they could have decided not to surrender to the will of God if they wanted to but they didn't.

Consider going from believing in something one cannot see, to something that is constructed with the hands.... and to believe that the figurine is the "new" method of communicating with god....

That's a heresy to any religion that believes that God cannot be formed with the hands....

But every time the message got corrupted until GOD sent the final prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to make the religion PURE from CORRUPTION. Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) always tell his companions/scholars to write it down as soon as the revelation from GOD comes via angel Gibriel. On top of that many people don't know HOLY QURAN is the only BOOK that has been memorised from begining till end that was the case during the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) life and after that. Now there are millions of muslim even the four years old memorised the whole QURAN unlike any other book. That's how the Quran is preserved in ORIGINAL form via written record as well as by memorisation.
There are only two scared books to follow, first is the HOLY QURAN and the other is the SAYINGS OF PROPHET (PBUH).
