Ive been talking medication for about one week and it seems to be doing better and Ill take it the two weeks it suggests. Where is the fungus more likely from unprotected sex or chronic masterbation which I read could also be the cause keeping the penis constantly moist. The symptoms showed up about 2 weeks after sex.

may be wear loose underwear like boxers brief. Don't wear underwear that too tight which will create moisture around your area. The boxers brief allows the air move freely around the area so it won't be so moist. secondly you can't get jock itch from sex or masturbation. It is from constant moisture in your region area. You should also wash your underwear more often. Wearing the same underwear more than one day will make your problem worst. Always change underwear daily.

No. Jock itch is caused from moisture, but not from sexual contact. The easiest and fastest cure is sprays like Tinactin. Just lower your drawers and spray the good stuff on. In about 1-2 weeks it will be gone and no more itching.

It's most likely because you don't dry your genitals enough in the shower. Bet you have room mates!!

Iv'e had this before too. It's not caused by either of your suggestions. It's caused by moisture that stays near your crotch region. Just use the medicine and try to keep it very dry after...it's not too bad...just stay on top of it....good luck.... ;)
