MAN may have all the desire and the will to do what is GOOD, but by himself he is incapable of doing the good that he wants to do. As a result of this weakness, he easily falls into SIN. Why then did GOD MAKE US WEAK AND INCAPABLE OF DOING B Y OUR OWN POWER WHAT IS GOOD...

If we could be good on our own power, we would be God.

God didn't make us just so that we would be weak. That is, this was not his aim. But what he created was people, not God. Why didn't he create God? Because there is only one God who exists outside of space and time--who always was, is, and will be--who IS, not who was created. Therefore, God cannot create God. What he made was a creature in his image, but who could not be him.

God takes no pleasure in our weakness. He has compassion for us because we are weak. This is why he sent our Son--that through Him, we might become perfect, not on our own power, but by the power of God.

In addition, God created within us the need for Himself. So that upon our constant failures, we would begin searching for the One who never fails.

...Man started out innocent and in fellowship with God. God only gave Adam & Eve one rule - that they were not to eat from the one tree, and Satan tricked them into disobedience to God.
...Sin brought in a boatload of problems for man.
...We are weak in and of ourselves, and incapable of pleasing God. We must be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ - then we can know Him, then we are empowered to live the Christian life and live as we ought (real freedom).
...If you haven't trusted Jesus as savior, I urge you to do so - while there is still time. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.
...Whosoever will, may come.

U, the doer SHOULD BE ABLE TO distinguish between right & wrong.

to give an example.

A rape has taken place. & A male had sex with his female.

In both event the sex is involved, in the first it is forced in the later by mutual consent.

If u r able to distuingish (Which at time is tough) then things will be more easy.

When God put the two trees in the middle of the garden, the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil, He has forbidden Adam to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. For God knew that man cannot by his own effort and power (when he ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil) overcome evil and do good. God's intention is to make man to eat from the tree of life which means that man will live life with the life of God in them which empowers him to live righteously and not do evil. That is why Jesus saves us and puts the Holy Spirit in us so that when we walk by the Spirit we will always to good. In short God makes man to live out the life of God in us but Adam chose to live out his own life. it is not that God's plan is bad but Adam made a bad choice against God's prohibition.

No kidding.

Why would he *punish* us for wanting to "know the difference between right and wrong" (tree of the knowledge of good and evil). Even creepier...how do you PUNISH a being for not obeying you about that tree, when they don't know the difference between right and wrong yet?

I think your answer is..."God didn't make us like that at all" When the morality of the bible is hopeless messed up and historically impossible - the conclusion has to be that it's not from God at all.

If you believe in a God who would hurt his own children, then I feel sorry for you. If we who are human can try to do good for our own children, don't you think God can do a much better job of it? Maybe WE can't forgive a child (although I can't think of anything that would make me hate my child), but God can. If we can do it, why can't God? My deepest sympathies.

What's really messed up is that your religion has so brainwashed you that you actually think you are a sinner, you believe you're born into sin, and you fill you're little head with these ridiculous questions.

If, by our own power, we could be 100% good, then why would we need God? God gave us a way out. God gave us forgiveness.
