I am not sure what you are trying to say.
But, I am glad that Br. Haggard's sin has been revealed so it can be dealt with and he can be restored. God is a God of restoration and forgiveness.
I once heard a statement that said " Gods' army is the only army that kills it's own wounded." I chose then not to do this. I love what one of his church members said "he is part of our family, and you don't throw family members away" because they do something wrong.
I am a Christian, who as a Christian, got a divorce and was with another person in a relationship before I was married to him. I have suffered greatly for this, mostly at the hands of other Christians. Some, that I had known for years, walked passed me as if they never knew me. I was even at the point of killing myself because I knew I had betrayed God and sinned against Him. But in that moment, inches away from a cliff, He wrapped Himself around and spoke to my heart and told me that He did not require me to die, Jesus died for my sin,,,,,,,,,ALL OF IT. There is nothing that can snatch me from His grasp.
We need to pray for Br. Haggard and his family. What Satan intends for evil, God can use for the good.
I agree with you about repentance, but only God knows the heart of man. I will let Him be the judge, because He is fair, and just and GOOD.

Just like you have choosen to be an atheist, other choose to "be saved" by accepting the word of Christ and altering their lives to reflect this choice. "Being saved" is not a once and done choice, it is a lifestyle that you choose to accept and follow through on each day. If someone has "been saved", but then continues to sin without regret or remorse, either they didn't understand the concept in the beginning or they have decided that lifestyle isn't for them... or maybe they are trying, but their battle with Satan is harder then it is for others. I can't say that I've "been saved" at one particular moment in my life... instead I have chosen the Christian lifestyle and focus on that each day by making decisions that reflect my choice. The only thing that has changed in my life is how I feel about myself and others and how I choose to live so that I can spread the good news of Christ to other people. It has become a priority for me, rather than being materialistic or judgemental. I feel like a better person, because I know I am making better choices and helping others along the way. I don't have a "get out of Hell free card." Nobody does... that is because like I said above "being saved" isn't a once and done moment, its a lifestyle change that continues every day. The hardest task as a Christian is that you can't judge other people. I do not know what path other people have choosen and where on that path they might be... and how difficult that path is for them to follow. All I can do is work on my goals and encourage others to at least learn about my God and his wonderful opportunity.

Yes... he came clean about his down fall, but not before covering lies with more lies. Makes me wonder if he came clean just to get back into the game... it still doesnt make what he did to others right
Moreover, what makes him even more dangerous is he USED his faith to persecute the very "sin" in which HE is commiting... Its like some High-born classes in medieval times that have "sinful" fetishes and KILL the callboy/callgirl to cover up their "sinfulness"
A sinful person seeing the light is a Wonderful event! A "religious leader" turning towards the dark side is more dangerous than Anakin Skywalker becoming Darth Vader!
