8 oz = 1 cup...
16 oz = 2 cups = 1 pint
24 oz = 3 cups
So,
23 oz = 2 ¾ cups or 2.875 cups

Okay you should know this from your first math classes in elementary school. How many cups is 23 ounces? Well 1 cup is 8 ounces so if you want to figure it out you would divide 23 by 8 to get your answer of 2 7/8 which is almost 3 cups. But if this is for a recipe I think you need to measure exact so 2 and 7/8 cups. Or 2 cups and 7/8 of another cup.
