It's completely normal to lose 50 -100 per day, and the average human has about 100,000 hair on their head. The growth of hair happens in cycles. The cycle consists of the anagen phase, which is the growing phase and lasts for 4 to 6 years. The next phase is the catagen stage, which is the phase where the hair stops growing and sits. The last phase is the telegen phase. This phase is the part where your hair falls out. Don't worry, the new hair grows under the old hair, and eventually pushes the old hair out. It's normal to see this phase in your brushes, in the shower, sick, pillow ect. The lost hairs will be replaced by new ones.
If your hair is falling out, make sure your diet is a healthy one. Make sure to eat foods with vitamin E, B and C. Also, scalp massages are eccellent too. They help to reduce stress and headaches, as well as increase the blood flow to your scalp, which helps the growth and condition of the hair.

Stress can contribute to hair loss. Being under an enormous amount of stress from work, school, family, relationships, etc. can contribute to hair loss. Having your thyroid checked is always a good test to take to see if that is a cause. Also a poor diet can lead to hair loss. Eating unhealthy foods can cause hair to fall out. Sad to say that eating disorders cause hair to fall out. If that is is the case, treatment should be seeked as soon as possible. But it is also good to know that it is normal to lose hair everyday, so unless it is coming out in handfuls, there probably isn't much to worry about it. It's normal for some hair to fall out.

ok.....
First off..and I may be wrong, but it looks as though you may be drunk and if so are probably freaking out because you noticed some hair come out. Let's do a run through:
- You should lose between 100 to 200 hairs per day...yeah, sounds like a lot and this varies depending on what hair color/race/and age you are.
- If you wear your hair up all day you will notice big clumps come out when you put it down. That's because they didn't fall to the ground due to the elastic or whatever holding them in place.
- if you are on birth control (especially the needle) you will notice an increase in the amount of hair you lose. It can get pretty bad on the needle and you should make sure that you are ok to keep using it.
There are many other factors but mainly I see a lot of girls freak out over it when in reality, we are all losing a lot of hair per day!

Try to relax. See a hair specialist if the problem gets worse.
