I'll bet your insurance deductible is higher than the damages so you may end up paying more (now) and then paying more for premiums later!
As far as the police report goes, no worry. Many times they dont even write one if the damages are small and the car is insured. You arent even required to tell DMV unless the damage is over $500 (in CA).
Strike a payment plan with the man and tell him it is the best you can do. He can only turn it in to his carrier or sue youn in small claims court - either way, he had fees involved in collecting so he might as well give you some time to pay. The other choices will take weeks to months anyway!
See if you can purchase the part used from a junk yard or ask for a wholesale price from where he is getting the part. Sometimes, they don't even ask for proof of being a wholesaler.

Depends on your insurance company. Most have a maximum period between the event and reporting date. There needs to be a very good reason why you didn't report it. I just can't think of any. Let's put that aside for a bit: How much is your deductible? If your deductible is much less than $325, your insurance premium must be very expensive. In that case, the $325 should be easy to come up with so this shouldn't be a problem. Or, did you forgot about the deductible?

Depending on the town, the police may not come for events under $500, at least they don't in the San Francisco area. What you are supposed to do is exchange insurance info. You might find that if the insurance covers it, they will raise your rates by more than that.
For $325, you might be better off finding the cash now rather than paying lots more for years on your insurance. Plus, once your insurance has you on record for an accident, it is seen by all the insurance companies in America so any other company will charge you a lot more if you switch.

You don't have to call the police for an accident. Not a big deal. However having said that your insurance company will frown upon you waiting so long. I am sure they will cover the collision but they may drop you when your policy is up. So you find another. Also not a big deal. Good Luck!

in case you had an accident and did no longer call police it is your word against the different drivers! Which in layman's words ability if the different driving force isn't truthful and springs to a decision to play video games, you have got some intense themes to handle! As for notifying the coverage organisation countless themes spring to ideas. first of all, some companies call for you notify them no depend what the circumstances of an accident. yet maximum companies do have a statute of barriers for notifying them or they do no longer pay any claims! i might think again my techniques next time yet i do no longer think of you should maintain on with the suggestion of "merely me"! that would lean slightly in direction of what's refered to as "over kill"!
