I'm 27 and just moved cross country for a girl I dated in college. She's great in so many ways; however, there's something that just hasn't been right - it doesn't seem like we are truly in love at all, and we don't bring out the best in each other. Despite our both knowing this, we keep trying to make it work. There's nothing terrible that happens, but nothing gets better. Each of us wants it to work, but it's getting to the point where we need to make the call that it's either good or not. I'm thinking that the two of us should split. Do you all agree?

Yes, it sounds like it was just the wrong time for the two of you. It might work out for you later in life, give it time and if you still love her, then try again. For now, call it quits before you start hating each other.

Yeah...my husbands 27 and I'm 25 and we're married. I NEVER felt this feeling that I have for my husband with any other man in my life. No matter how much he could hurt me it never gets THAT bad and I don't ever feel turned off. With other guys I knew it wouldn't last cause I didn't have this special feeling that enabled me to forgive and hold on. Everyday I look at my husband I see home, he is where it's at NOONE else could compare to his love.

If you have that gut feeling that tells you it's not working I'd follow it. When you let go of something, something BETTER will appear unexpectedly and you'll realize why it was necessary to let go. That's what happen to me.

Good luck!

Yes,If theres no love between you too then its time to split ,because when years pass by, you guys migth feel like some how you guys wasted each others time by not starting a new life with some other person and even a family. both of you guys deserve to be happy and loved. and do not do the friend thing , at first it migth feel ritgh , but trust me its not ,it will just make it harder to let go with time.

If you don't see a future for the two of you then you should definitely split up.Relationships are based on the fact that the relationship is going to continue moving forward. If you don't see it moving forward then you are just prolonging the inevitable.

I think you should break up, if you are not in love, why be with that person? If you've tried so hard and if you are still not in love then you should at least give each other a break, sometimes that helps, and if it doesn't then it's better to just break up and find someone who you are truly in love with.

I say you try the old Ross/Rachel "need to take a break" bit. Both of our might really need to see if the grass really IS greener on the other side.

If you find yourself pining for the girl, then you know you really wnt her.

well if you are not truely in love then yeah, mabey. give it a little more time and see. but if you do split it's just cuz you might both be better has friends instead of bf/gf. good luck.

I don't. If you ever find someone that is willing to work in a relationship for you, that is amazing. And there is no promise that you will find anything better. You might even realize that you WERE in love with her. If she honestly is trying... that's a beautiful thing that you shouldn't take for granted.
