Congratulations! Tarceva works only about 10-15% of the time. But it is great because it has much fewer side effects than chemotherapy. It will not get rid of the cancer forever though but you should enjoy the ride until a new drug comes out (usually every year). If it causes so much rash or diarrhea, try stop it for a week and restart it at the same dosage. Don't cut down on the dosage and don't just give it up. Talk to your cancer doc.

I cant imagine why you are asking such a serious question to people on the computer that you know nothing about. Are you about to take the advice of some joe blow off the street and risk your life for it?? You defiantly need to talk at more length with your doctor about this.

Did your doctor prescribe the tarceva? What stage are you in? Have you had any other treatments? One side effect is the acne like rash. Do you have that? It means the tarceva is working. If you would like to email me again I would be glad to answer any questions as my husband toook tarceva.

i think u shud spend that money and consult a docter.
i feel for u, cancer and all..
but know death is a transition.
just make sure of ur afterlife.. make peace with God, that is the surest way out of this deep hole.
