Why put primary focus and heart into race or the color of your thin skin. Racism is an indicator of ignorance, to believe that skin pigmentation really makes you special is truley indicative of ones upbringing and esteem, to grab at the smallest of straws for something to define yourself with other than your heart, soul, and mind!.

Yes, those two sayings carry the same weight. You are also right about the translation. I have noticed you are correct about virtually everything you say. Keep it coming.

to all you people who claim to be smart, you wouldn't know what Viva la Raza means because you are not Hispanic. It means "Love for the people". It has nothing to do with your skin pigmentation or your race, and as far as talking about ignorance, maybe you should do some real research on the matter and stop going to the web racist websites. b/c if that is the case I can find many things to say about Americans of any color.

No it's not the same. The people that shout "Viva La Raza" have not slaughtered 6 million people or lynched people.
Sorry I can't say the same to those who say "White Power".

There was a time not that long ago when those living in the US were just proud to be American. There was no such thing as a hyphenated American. Now we have Mexican citizens here illegally, screaming in our ears that this is not the USA, it's Mexico and whites/gringos don't belong here. Yes, Viva La Raza is racist.

The difference between La Raza and KKK is that Viva la Raza is more of a encouraging stance to stick together and overcome obstacles and to succeed in life. KKK uses "White Power" to bring across a message of hate and close mindedness of racial supremacy that only whites should live in this country. So to answer your question, NO, it is not the same.

Viva la Raza!!

I totally agree. It is about time we all stop this "I'm better then you" BS.We are all going to end up in the same place when our lives are over.No matter who, what, where or how much we have.
Life is way to short to waste on this hatred of each other.Death is the great equalizer.

tha' translation is actually very oppoite. i guess u have 2 b "raza" 2 understand tha' pride. it's more a unification of race than a supreme feeling of authority. supremists r ignorant people who obviously feel inferior with anyone other than thier ignorant others. oh...and VIVA LA RAZA, unchingo de todo!!!

It's great to be proud of your race-what's important is the spirit of your pride. Are you saying that you're better than all others and that their race is less than yours? If so, then it's a racist statement in my opinion. Otherwise, celebrate your culture and practices in which case iViva la raza!
