I would like to know how to migrate to the UK with a permenate visa?

I am a US citizen and would like to move to the UK to live. We are over 60 and self employed.

I believe you can come on a business visa; you would have to stay here a number of years before you could get permanent residence, called indefinite leave to remain.

Go to an embassy or call one (British that is) But why would you want to?
