Devil:
one of the principal titles of Satan, the arch-enemy of God and of Man. It is not known how he originated,(Isa.14:12-20,and Ezek.28:12-19)give us a clue, but it is certain that he was not created evil. He rebelled against God when in a state of holiness and apparently led angels into rebellion with him. He is of superhuman power and wisdom, But not omnipotent or omniscient. He tries to frustrate God's plans and purposes for human beings. His principal method of attack is by temptation. His power is limited and he can go only as far as God permits. On Judgment Day he will be cast into hell to remain there forever.

I guess it depends on your deifintion of "Bad." Technically speaking there is nothing specific. Not even in the Bible. You will not find any direct references or stories about Satan perfomring evil deeds. (Such as genocide, or floods or...ummm well never mind)
The term Satan comes from the word "adversary". Satan opposed God, and therefore was considered the "bad" to God's "good".
From a theological perspective: Many people consider Satan's act in the garden of Eden (tempting Eve with the apple) to be an act of evil, since it resulted in Original Sin, and expulsion from the garden, but anybody who actually puts stock in the story should also be smart enough to follow through to the conclusion that it was a necessary act. If you believe the story of Genesis then do you not understand that none of us would be here without Adam and Eve being cast out of the garden??? This is why nobody listens to christians anymore..too many contradictions....
As adversary and opposition to God, who most consider good; the Devil is going to be bad. It is the natural balance.
But Satan didn't get a book, so we will never know..We can only judge by what one side tells us...
Well anyways that's only MOHO....I personally don't believe anything in organized religion is objective...

Some people do not like to believe the fact that the devil does exist and no he can't take you by the hand and cause you to murder someone, but he does control those who will let him. The biggest trick of the devil is to make God's people believe he does not exist. If you do not believe in the devil and the evil he does why believe that you need God and the power of The Holy Ghost of Jesus Christ to fight him? What evil has he done? Liars, murders, Aids, the list could go on forever. All things that can cause you to die in your iniquity. Satan took control of my mother's mind with doubt, drugs, sex, and she is now dieing from aids.

Matt 4:1
1Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
(KJV)

John 8:44
44For you are the children of your father the Devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning and has always hated the truth. There is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.
(NLT)

1 Pet 5:8
8Be careful! Watch out for attacks from the Devil, your great enemy. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for some victim to devour.
(NLT)

He set himself above God, even though he was a mere creature.
He was beautiful and became vain
He was strong, and became a murderer
He was clever, and became a liar.
He caused sedition, and was thrown out of Heaven, granted his own realm.
When he saw man, he was jealous. Apparently, when God unveiled his idea of woman, this was when the big arguement happened, so Satan made the woman his target. Also, when he made the woman fall, he was intensely jealous that God made a plan to save humanity, for all the evil and free will that humans were allowed, and he was thrown into hell without any chances at all for redemption.
When he complained to God about it, God said: "Look, I gave you every grace ever invented. It was all available to you, and still, look what happened! No, these creatures are flawed, and I will judge them accordingly. You were perfect, and you threw it away."
Still, Satan complained, (being very clever), so God allowed him lee-way, and the two struck a bargain. So, before being permanently locked into hell, Satan had a chance to take as many souls as he could within a time-limit .

Right now, his time is very short.

According to mythology, Satan was God's favorite angel. When God chose his son Jesus, and not Satan, to sit at his right side Satan led a revolt against God. Satan and his fallen angels had their wings clipped and were banished to Hell. I guess starting a war is "evil/bad" right?
I don't really know a lot about Christianity, so I hope that helps.

Satan told Adam and Eve a lie. He contradicted God's Word and said it was okay to eat from the forbidden tree.

The sin of Adam and Eve was disobeying God and doing what they wanted...instead of listening to God. They listened to Satan and their own reasoning, thinking God was keeping something wonderful from them, which He was not.

From that moment they became spiritually separated from God--He sent them out of the Garden of Eden, banned them from the tree of life, and instead of living forever, they eventually died. Death was not part of the Garden of Eden. The Bible says, "The penalty of sin is death."

Satan is responsible for the original death penalty for all mankind. Is that specific enough?

I believe his first act of "evil" was to tempt Eve in the Garden of Eden. (Although it's not really an act of evil to tempt.) His "job" is temptation. This is what he was hired to do. Presenting temptation to you; to keep your attention on your desires and pursuit of worldly pleasure, rather than God.

That Satan, he is very good at what he does.

Nothing . AS the CREATOR OF ALL THINGS made Satan's soul from ITS own body the same as ALL OTHER SOULS. And assigned his soul to ACT as the tempter of the Human soul away from Gods commandments and to be Jesus' greatest tempter to turn Him away from the task God sent him here to do.
