Here are some DNA sites that can help answer your questions. The last site deals with Native American ancestry specifically.

DNA testing can. Though us humans share 99.9% of DNA code, the differences accounted are something like this: 6% due to race. 8% due to differences between groups, and the rest due to differences between individuals. Oprah had this done and determined which tribe she originated from years and years ago in Africa. Look into it, it should be interesting, but costly.

There are some traits that are unique to the Native Americans, so DNA testing may be able to prove or disprove your theory.

i'm sure you can, with genetics and dna. get your blood & bone structure tested. Hey, if they can test a skull from a thousand years ago and tell if it was from a specific race, im sure they can do it on a living person. either which way, be proud of who and what you are, you are unique in your own way.

biological testing? its impossible. You can determine the phenotypic or genotypic characteristics of your father but it cant validly showcase a result to assure that he is an american indian. The only thing is to trace his history and roots through anthropology or sociology.Ask the help of the Department of sociology or anthropology in your college or university,.
