They may think that you are following them. The driver may feel threatened or uncomfortable. Then depending on the driver, you may see some road rage. That's the only reason I can think of.

Its like when you are the passenger on a trip, when your eyes get bored of what its seen for so long you may get tired and crash. I have not heard of following a vehicle being dangerous unless your too close though.?

Never heard of that. It never caused ME any problem. But then, I've only been driving since 1960, maybe there's still time........
