Score is 566 just filed bankruptsy???

If you just filed bankruptcy, you won't get a department store card right away. You will be getting alot of applications in the mail for pre-approved mastercard and visa cards from various places. Even if you don't want them I would get a couple of them anyway because this is how you are going to build back up your credit. Be careful with these, read everything carefully because most of them want an an annual fee. Look for the ones that don't have an annual fee. And don't forget to shred the applications that you don't want. I have had experience with identity theft and it is a nightmare!

you are not supposed to have a credit card after filing bankruptcy. Federal law, all bankruptcies are now wage earner, no one under wage earner is allowed to buy on credit without the premission of the court.
